Loin Gran Reserva “España e Hijos”, tradition, quality and commitment

In 1985 and at the age of 32, Miguel España Muñoz, General Manager of Spain and Children and founder of Embutidos y Jamones España e Hijos S.A, decided to set up his own company in a town in the province of Toledo called Escalonilla. A 600-meter company, which gradually grew from 600 to 1500 meters in the first expansion, where the number of dryers and warehouses was increased to have greater capacity.

Later, they went to 4000 meters and they expanded the office area and some new and large loin and sausage workshops, and it was here that they bought the first thermoforming machines and their first slicers. Later, they grew to 9000 meters with the construction of new dryers and chambers and a completely new department of hams.

And, finally, up to the current 12,000 meters, where they built two more drying plants and natural warehouses for the expansion of their production and the purchase of two new slicers, which allowed them to meet the market demand for sliced products. It was in 2007 when they bought a ham drying room located in a town called Gerindote and only 4 km from them, with a capacity for 200,000 pieces of hams and a plot of 25,000 meters to expand.

In spite of everything, it is a totally family business, since the first incorporation of its children was that of Miguel Angel in 1990. Later Diego, in 1992, M ª Carmen, in 1996, and the last Rubén, in 2007. Today it is a young, modern, dynamic company and complies with all the quality standards set by the European Economic Community and the best quality certificates worldwide obtained in the best ranges, where the treatment continues to be personal and direct with them. , without waiting and attended by the Spain family.
